Saltburn by the sea

Although it was foggy inland this morning, it was a lovely bright and clear day over on the coast at Saltburn. 
The main shot looks North and you can see the industrial landscape of Redcar in the distance.
Of course, a visit to the seaside would not be complete without a traditional fish and chip lunch, so we visited the excellent Seaview restaurant by the pier.

Saltburn by the Sea has maintained much of its original charm as a Victorian seaside resort with its splendid pier in the first two extra shots. In the last extra is Saltburn's water balanced cliff tramway which is the oldest in Britain that is still in operation, linking the town with the pier 120 feet below.
