Rural Delivery #SilS175

I feel fortunate to live around the block from my crazy sculptor friend, Joe Sackett who makes abstract, representational, serious and humorous art with which he populates the neighborhood.  This sculpture resides between my house and the street.  It stands 15 feet tall. The larger hole in the side of the mailbox has been worn over time to accommodate families of gold finches.


Because this is the "Wild West" of lore (home to Breaking Bad, etc.) it is not uncommon to find when hiking in the desert various objects full of bullet holes. Some seem like evidence, some appear to be treasures. Joe memorialized a mailbox.
