Mini-Blipmeet

It was a very mini-blipmeet today at Weston Park. The weather had put everyone off coming to this event organised by GrahamColling. Jerra and I had travelled down to Shropshire yesterday and had only a couple of miles to travel today. We were extremely lucky that Graham and his wife were willing to come out in the anticipated bad conditions to meet us!

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Graham and L showing us a small, safe part of the grounds, even introducing us to the head gardener.

We had just gone in before the downpour came! The rain distracted us, briefly, from Graham's beautiful exhibition of framed images of Weston Park. If you aren't familiar with Graham's journal, have a look at his  previous exhibition at this venue.

The event ended with a roast dinner and wine in The Brasserie.Thank you so much Graham & L.

We had an uneventful trip home to find our garden had had a raging torrent running through it but the house was unaffected and I'd taken the precaution of lifting up unplanted pots of plants before we left. Other parts of Cumbria have suffered even more. Must check on Blipmates!
