Daffs on the Hearth

Woke to another wet and windy morning. Took a long diversion over the Forest to reach Leicester. The queue at Copt Oak was longer than it had been last week. At least the traffic kept moving slowly.

No Mummy Meet today. I thought William and I could go to Mini Movers at Loughborough Leisure Centre instead. There was absolutely no room in the car park so we had to go on to Shepshed where Harry had arrived to do the annual service of the pond.

Feeling exhausted again, I reclined in my chair while William busied himself with drawing and sticking stickers. What a sweetheart! Len had gone swimming.

After he returned, we decided to motor to Dobbies Garden Centre to collect our two free drinks this month, except I have mislaid the store card so I could neither collect the drinks nor buy anything at 20% discount. The email offering the drinks was not enough.

William remained cheerful and occupied. I bought him a drawing and sticker book of Thomas the Tank Engine, what else! I don't think he's going to be a dinosaur freak like his cousin.

Camera club committee meeting this evening.
