Carpet

Walked over to Merchiston for a meeting and good to see the snowdrops and crocuses carpeting Bruntsfield links (although they’d have looked better in recent sunshine than today’s greyness).
Interesting discussion in the meeting about all things new in creative tech and caught up with CS who I haven’t seen much of recently.
After lunch was going to walk back but by then the sleet had set in so I got a cab and spent the afternoon in the office doing some useful stuff quietly. Also managed to sort the tax problem after a lengthy wait to speak to someone. Phew
Evening went to see the Nixon in China unwrapped performance with R (reinforced my feeling of loving the orchestral music of this opera but the vocals a bit less) then we had Malaysian supper and I heard the latest in the unfolding saga, including the discussions about art, pianos and whether to be sentimental about bricks and mortar
