Contrasts and Shadows

While I dropped off a friend for an appointment I went down to the beach again today. I was looking for an abstract for today's challenge.

I thought the geometric shape of the stairs, and the shadows cast thereon were fairly abstract, and contrasted against the abstract forms of the rocks.

A possibility would have been to distort the image totally, but instead it is unaltered. The wooden staircase has been converted to black and white, the colours of the rocks altered somewhat to give them reddish tinge.

Bright sunny day, and almost feeling slightly warm at times. After the appointment we went over to Hazlehead Park for a coffee and a walk. The gardeners were busy today. Hope the council has enough money left to pay them!
