Swan song

Puds were wonderful (see yesterday’s blip), Lemon Cheese Cake and Chocolate Mousse Trifle, couldn’t decide so had a bit of both.
Off to Brompton-by-Sawdon for a walk along the beck with the dogs, ducks a plenty

The village has two claims to fame. The first, as is proudly displayed on the road signs as you approach, is the ‘birthplace of aviation’. Sir George Cayley, who invented the first successful glider to carry a person, lived here¹². The second is that the poet William Wordsworth married Mary Hutchinson in All Saints Church, see extra picture.

Intended to go to Glaves ( award winning butchers) for some sausages but they close at noon on Saturday.
