The Edge of the Wold

Crow flight

Back blipped on 8th March

The start of one of the best days of the year so far, a reprieve from the rain and winds. Dawn is getting ahead of Gus and me now, and the sun was already quite high when we were on top of the Knott at 0745. Ingleborough was lost in the distance as the wooded layers climbed eastwards.  Soon the sun will be rising directly behind the mountain seen from here.

Otherwise this was a day of scaffold yoga, as I reached and stretched to paint the pebble dash of our dormer.  It's horrible to paint at the best of times, but the corners and under the eaves are very awkward to get at. Though it was a good test for my back after last year's slipped disc, and it coped with no problems - testament I think to the extraordinary effect of the myofascial release treatment last October and Wifie's Qi Gong classes since then.
