Open for business

There are important new restrictions announced today including, in Scotland , a ban on events of 500 people or more .  These are all necessary responses to the Covid 19 pandemic and there will be more .

I will be curtailing some of my office’s activities in my own constituency and announcing those to constituents at the weekend but the Presiding Officer told members at the end of Parliamentary business today that as yet there would be no new curtailing of visitors to the Parliament in the course of normal business, though that would also kept under close review.  

So the main entrance lobby still had several comings and goings.
