Old Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg, PA

I had a vacation day scheduled, and we had errands to run in and around Ebensburg, my husband's old stomping grounds. So in the morning, he dropped me off to do a walking tour of Ebensburg, while he ran errands. We caught up with each other again around noon, and went for a delicious steak salad at Off the Rak, before visiting the historic Allegheny Portage Railroad site on our way home.

My first stop was this very old cemetery which had some really lovely grave stones. The sky was doing amazing things; dark clouds gathered and dispersed above my head. Then, I walked around town, and I saw the old prison, the soldiers and sailors memorial, and the courthouse.

I also did some accidental antiquing! I visited a neat, crowded shop called the High Street Emporium, which had three floors of STUFF of all kinds. I found but did not buy (and now regret it, of course!) some lovely antique Christmas ornaments which you may view in the extras. It was a very interesting day!

The soundtrack song is for the image above: Patty Griffin and Natalie Maines, with Mary.
