Arboreal Musculature

At Tyninghame Woods there is a pathway to the right of the car park where there is a line of very muscular trees. For some reason a lot of the trees seem to have multiple trunks though whether this is from too close planting or double trunks from the same root system is not clear. I always feel these multiple trunks appears like muscles and sinews. A close up shot of a single tree does not seem to do justice to these trees so I have gone for a montage of six different trees just to prove my point.
