Lying in the warmth

Beautiful, warm, sunny day. Enjoyed a really long dog walk before I made my way to work. I was driving to Durham as the prime minister's speech was broadcast live. It was one of those 'I remember where I was' moments as his words communicated that life was about to change quite dramatically. The uni had been poised, ready to switch to remote working for sometime...but now here it was! Time to action that. Staff were clearing their rooms, even of their plants, and we said goodbye fondly at the end of the night not knowing when we will see one another again. Surreal and scary.
