My [Coronavirus] Birthday!

Well, the day finally arrived! I have completed another lap around the sun. :)

I woke to rain. RAIN! I can't remember the last time I had rain on my birthday. It is very welcome though especially when it drops the temperature to the low 20s.

I made a spur of the moment decision to get my hair done and managed to get a very quick appointment. 10:15! So, I finished the jobs I was doing (tidying up and getting the place ready for the afternoon) and headed out.

The weather kept changing! At one point we had sheet lightning and a thunderstorm. Anyway, with things as they are, I invited three friends at very short notice to a homemade High Tea. My blip sums up what was on offer. Five different sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pies, cinnamon buns, two types of cake, scones and luxury chocolates. As you can imagine, it didn't take too long to get to the point where we couldn't eat anymore!

Rachel and Peter had to leave early so Diane, G and I opened the bottle of pink Prosecco that Diane brought. It's been a very low-key but good day. G amazed us all with her culinary skills. It's all over now, until another year! Stay safe everyone. :)

PS. Oops! Should have said... the chocolate cake, sausage rolls and pork pies were bought, not made! (Not that G can't make them; we had limited time)
