Stachyurus 'Celina'

Once again the flowers are out on the young Stachyurus chinensis 'Celina' in our back garden.

The highlight of our day, however, was seeing what we think was a Narrow-bordered Bee Hawk-moth (Hemaris tityus) hovering and drinking from the flowers of one of our Forget-me-Nots with its long proboscis. Alas, I did not have my camera ready to record this early sighting.
