Villa Sandvigen

Typical for Corona times: Restaurant (like this one) closed.

Typical for springtime: Bikers on all the roads

Villa Sandvigen is from 1886. At that time the old, narrow road was the main road.  Norwegian and Swedish farmers and traders used it when they were going to the Oslo (called Christiana at that time) to sell cows and hay.  This was a perfect place to stop for beer and food.

For many years it kept to be the main road until we got the highway in 1970.  The restaurant has survived and is a popular place for weddings.
