Thank You For the Days ..

A Little Sparkle

Wednesday morning is when we'd normally be at our singing group. Today we gathered as usual - via Zoom. All credit must go to Robyn, our leader, who sent us the link and then sorted out everyone's little problems, so that 24 of us managed to get on line, and one joining in by telephone. No mean feat, as none of us are spring chickens, to put it conservatively.

It was lovely to see all their familiar faces and to chat a bit. Best draw a veil over the actual singing. Because of all the different connection speeds, we weren't exactly, or even remotely, in time with each other. However, we did have a good laugh.

It was a lovely warm, sunny day and after lunch TM and I went up to the woods on top of the hill behind us, and walked along the edge. The path was almost dry - apart from the occasional puddle, which I blipped. We met two dog-walkers. We passed the first at the required distance, exchanging a greeting on the way. The second was preceeded by his very bouncy terrier, who took a shine to me. His owner called him in vain, and eventually had to come and haul him off - so much for our good intentions .....

Our garden bonfire had grown so big I couldn't reach to put any more rubbish on to it, so we went out in the dusk to light it. I was surprised to see bats flying in and out of the trees. A bit earlier than usual, I think.
