Fields Of Yellow - Coming Soon

I went for a walk to one of my favourite places this afternoon and noticed that the fields have been planted with rape seed plants (used to make rape seed oil or canola oil). The flowers were just starting to bloom. When they’re fully in bloom the blanket of yellow is SO beautiful. Well, in my opinion! I believe that they’re a nightmare for hay fever sufferers so perhaps they are perceived as ugly to them!

I also love seeing them from the air. I doubt very much I’ll be seeing that view this year though, as I know I won’t be working the whole month of April and who knows for any time beyond that.

I ‘met’ just a handful of people during my hour long walk. Successful social distancing!
