We live opposite the golf club and with the club house closed due to social distancing the golf course has become a great place to walk the dogs off lead.  Perhaps people don't want a game of golf without the prospect of a beer to follow.  

I'm grateful for our empty golf course but may not feel so pleased if it doesn't survive the economic climate and I find myself looking across at a housing development.
