Open Space

Without some kind of perimeter, there wouldn't be any need to call the space open. Where the marsh ends, trees begin, creating a boundary. Apparently, the boxes I was asked to put up for the blue birds need to be in an open space. The birds need boxes to avert the decline in numbers. How the birds will know the boxes are there, remains a mystery.

I suppose some might find the image boring, but the contrast of golden grass against the dark trees excites me, I can't say why. I love the warm tones and my eyes explore the detail in the dark trees.
