Sitting Apart...

...but still together.  We took a walk with Rose on this sunny day. Perhaps appropriately for the times she showed us the way to the iron-age burial mounds, just a little way out of town.  Rose and Jan are sitting on a reconstruction of "Grave 1", the first of a line of 20 graves alongside the path that presumably also dates to the mid 700's.
As we walk through the forest on the path, just grass and earth, it is a sobering thought that people have been treading this path for at least 1300 years.
