Skunks in the garden

Most of our gardening friends are horrified we have yellow skunk cabbage in the garden.

“Don’t you know it smells?”
“Yes”
“ Don’t you know it's an invasive American weed?”

“Yes”.
But we reckon that it would have great difficulty escaping from our artificial bog.

Trouble is I like the look of it, despite its pungent smell and unfortunate name.

On a warm sunny day like today in the quiet of the garden it’s difficult to believe we are in the middle of a global crisis.

Then this afternoon I took a walk through the empty streets of Bridge of Allan and looked at all the closed shops and the horror of our predicament is brought home with a jolt.
How long can this last?
