Lockdown Day 25 - Christmas In April!

I went to the hospital again early this morning to deliver a few necessities to my friend. He’s still on a normal ward, not ICU, and is being well looked after. I’m so glad he’s there and not at home. This is a great struggle for anyone, but he posted a selfie on Facebook with a view of him on a CPAP machine which I think is a good sign and showed a bit of humour.

We got some much needed rain today and I loved sitting in my conservatory listening to the patter on my roof. I caught up with some work emails and a computer based training course I need to finish before the end of the month. I had a Zoom coffee morning with my friends from church and this evening I had a FaceTime dinner with my friend in Sweden - we both had pizza!

Suddenly the sun came out so I went down to the lake after dinner. It’s been ages since I’ve been there. It was nice and fresh though not a colourful sunset.

On the way home I passed this in my neighbours’ front garden. They’d not removed the lights from the tree after Christmas, so they decided a couple of weeks ago to light it up in the evening when we clap for the carers. I saw it for the first time last night, though I had to go to the end of my drive to get a glimpse. This was the first time I’ve passed by in the evening so I guess they’re lighting it every evening? It’s quite fun and I think the kids like it! Anything to cheer us up a bit!
