Day 27 There has been a complaint!

Today passed very much as all the others have of late:  Mr MC finished the utility room painting, we cleaned and I started to sort through the vast amount of stuff that we had stored in there trying to arrange bags of items for recycling, charity shops etc.  There was very little sunshine and it was rather chilly too, so no sitting in the garden.  The pollen is still about in abundance though and that plus the dust cleared from the utility room has left even Mr MC with hayfever symptoms and mine slightly worse than of late.
I was beginning to think that a sleeping Peggy Sue would have to be my blip when I saw a robin braving a visit to our water feature: clearly the blue tits had told him that drinking water and bathing facilities were available here, but sadly for him, the water levels had dropped in the last 24 hours and he was frankly disappointed.  I took multiple shots from behind glass as he hopped around looking in vain for the promised water: my main is just one as he tried all sides of the fountain and the extra as he flew off in disgust.  Mr MC has now refreshed the water levels, so maybe he'll have better luck tomorrow.

In other news, Robert Jenrick, Communities secretary, led today's Coronavirus update and made it absolutely clear that parks and cemeteries must remain open and that close family must be permitted to attend funerals.  This was always the case but some local authorities have chosen to go their own way interpreting the 'rules' with distressing consequences for many families.
