I was in the garden photographing flowers for Flower Friday when I realised this beautiful monarch butterfly had only recently emerged from its chrysalis. 

The dainty flowers are from the swan plant and the seedhead is the remains of a Japanese anemone. 


This morning I ventured out of lockdown for my second visit to the supermarket.
