From father to son

Boy is under lockdown in Kuala Lumpar.

They have been in isolation for 56 days - the country had a massive outbreak just as they returned from Vietnam - 12,000 Muslims at a pilgrimage in the city and almost every case stemmed from there; so there was a massive shut down which is still ongoing

They have been occupying themselves by working out and by watching BBCiplayer. The Great British Bake Off; Race The World.... Boy in particular has been very taken with the Breakfast news and the story of Captain Tom.

He has decided to do his part and walk circuits of their apartment to represent four walks in each of the United Kingdom Countries Hadrian’s Wall, Lyn Coastal wall, The Causeway Coastal Path and the West Highland Way.

It’s a total of three hundred and one miles - and he has to do four hundred and forty six laps to meet 10.75 miles.

I wouldn’t normally ask for support; and I’m not asking for support for Boy - I’m asking for support for Jessica.

Boy is single minded. Once he has set his mind on something he will do it - someone suggested he ran a half marathon ; Boy hates running but took the challenge - and completed the half marathon with a blood stained tee - yes, his nipples were bleeding from mile 3.

Jessica is also stuck in the same one bedroomed flat, and watched in amazement as Boy counted his steps round the apartment and then calculated how many steps to reach his goal. I don’t think she knew exactly what he was up to; but bloody hell, she does now.

He gets up before her and starts and she has to time her entrance and exit from bedroom and lounge to bathroom to not coincide with this 6’4 man-child. He sweats ... as someone once said ‘like a gypsy with a mortgage’. So I can only imagine how amazing the apartment smells.

He talks non-stop nonsense. - he’ll be running round that flat; talking gibberish and expecting J to be upbeat and cheering him on...

If you feel you would like to support his NHS fundraiser - this is the LINK - only if you want to, can or are feeling benevolent...

Any donations welcome ... and his dad says if he beats his target of £500 before he starts the west highland way leg .... he’ll walk the same distance in the garden Slightly concerned about this because I think it may mean that I’ll get roped in somehow too!

We’re all in this together .... tomorrow is
A better day.
