A Huge Thank You

... for following my journal, some of you for the 8 years since the lovely wendybee persuaded me to start blipping.

I wanted today's photo to be a happy one despite the weather and the current situation in the world. This pair of grebes were having a love-in this morning. I had never seen how stunning the male was from the side so it is in extras too. For me Blip is about finding that moment that is beautiful or special in your day. Everything else disappears whilst you try to capture it to share with this wonderful community of like minded people.

Many of us should be somewhere else just now, I should be on a boat in Norway, ski mountaineering, but then I would not have known there was at least one hoopoe, one of the most endangered bird species of Central Europe, in the vineyards of our village. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it and just managed to get the poor shot in extras!

I just read that Mambo's Mr. P has died, my love goes out to them both.
