Campion Damsel

It was my intention to shoot damselflies today but I wasn't set up for it on our early walk. I spotted one flying amongst a lovely stand of red campions near my old propagating house. I didn't manage to capture it in flight but it is now my aim to try to achieve this. It settled and I got the above shot. I've been wanting to photograph these flowers for a while. I'm pleased to have a bug to enhance the blooms. I'm not sure which damsel this it, I think it could be a female azure.

I saw my first soldier beetle of the season, I love photographing them.
