Blossom on blue

Breakfast in the 'yard in bright sunshine. What a treat! Then a morning spent doing a couple a loads of washing, and amending our on-line shopping order to add the items from two friends' shopping lists. Neither had been very specific about their requirements!

For today's exercise, an afternoon walk along the same route we took a couple of days ago, except that we walked along a track at the edge of the woods rather than going through the field. It was OK today as the ground is very dry, but would be very boggy in parts in wet weather. Lovely to see carpets of wood sorrel blowing in the breeze (extra) as we walked up through the woods..

There are two crab apple trees by the main path around the Common. Last year neither tree did very well - the leaves were blighted, they had very few flowers, and hardly any crab apples. This year, pleased to see them both looking much healthier, and both full of blossom. Hopefully, in the autumn there'll be lots of fruit.
