Mr. Stonechat (and fly)

Another first for me today - only a bird this time, not a moth. If I'm not mistaken this is a male Stonechat (Saxicola torquata), which I spotted when we were exploring yet more new lanes on our 90-minute walk. Saw lots of orange tip butterflies, as well as a peacock, small whites and a speckled brown. Another highlight of our lovely walk was when a lizard ran across the road in front of us. We climbed quite high in the hilly area near us with fantastic distant views of Dartmoor inland and Start Point, and its lighthouse, on the coast. A simply fabulous walk!

My Extra is a collage of this and some other pictures I took during our walk (where you can see cows social-distancing). The main blip had to be my Stonechat, taken on full zoom. Twitchers, please do let me know if my identification is correct. Whatever it is, it is a new birdspot for me - which proves I'm "staying alert"!
