Spanish Bluebells

We have both Spanish and English bluebells in our garden and these are the stouter Spanish ones photographed against the light this morning.

Lunchtime - to Wicks DIY store in Barnsley to collect paint for my new garden furniture. They operate a click and collect service.  After so many weeks spent around home with just a weekend visit to Penistone markets I’m always surprised that out in the wider world life carries on.  Ann stayed in the car while I went to collect my paint - the staff meanwhile were enjoying the sunshine as they weren’t very busy.

I’ve made a good start on painting the trellis (horrible stuff to paint) on the new garden planter.  Hopefully I can finish the job tomorrow and plant it up with the two clematis plants that are still in pots.
