Even though I've still got to decorate, as you can see, I wanted her up. I  measured and marked, then measured again and drilled the left left hand hole. I'd just begun the right hand  hole when I realised there was a socket directly below, and I don't have one of those safety gadgets. Then I remembered, the socket is against the understairs cupboard wall, and I'd previously noticed the cable weaving it's way around the inside of the doorframe and so I wasn't going to get electrocuted.
