White bridge view

I was out before breakfast this morning and headed to White Bridge where there were reports of 13 Bee-eaters having been spotted there on Saturday. This is an unusual occurrence although there have been the odd sightings at different places over the years. Having seen two photos from different people I had headed out on Sunday evening in case they were still around but didn't see any.  I thought I might as well try again today and although I didn't see any  it was beautifully calm and quiet this morning as I watched the swallows dive around the bridge in pairs.

Once home my husband volunteered putting up a a row of bamboo poles on the allotment so I also went down to help or rather weed.  In the afternoon after a yoga zoom session I decided to plant the salad leaves and lettuces out.  This took a fair amount of time and by the time I returned home I was feeling pretty tired and then it was back in the evening to water it all.  So its looking like an early night tonight.
