From A Distance

My granddaughter was released from hospital today and is now at her new home. Although Scotland is gradually coming out of lockdown this Friday, we don't know when we'll be able to see her for the first time. After a three week wait our reusable face masks arrived this morning, perfect timing.

My album of the day is "Deja Vu" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Mellow folk rock with plenty of country and blues influences, I particularly like the effortless yet intricate vocal harmonies. "Teach Your Children" and Stills rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock" are my album highlights.

On this day in 1974 I saw The Sensational Alex Harvey Band in concert. My first experience of Zal Cleminson's distinctive stage presence.
