Cherry Blossom

Everything seems to be blooming this year, or so it seems to me, of which the striking red cherry blossom is the epitome. I don't know whether to ascribe the phenomenon to a dry spring, or the recent sudden and substantial rainfall. It is a beacon and lifts my spirits whenever I see it.

Not perhaps the most engaging photograph, but it is significant to me. Today a warm spell began with temperatures reaching 83°F.
