A WALK IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

Neil messaged yesterday to ask if I wanted to go for a walk with him.  So around 12.45pm we met up in the village and started walking along Whickham Highway.  After a while we left the main road and followed  various public footpaths into Washingwell Woods.  Beautiful countryside and lovely weather. There were quite a few walkers and cyclists around but we were able to pass safely.  My blip shot is for the Wide Wednesday challenge " Looking Down".  I wasn't able to get on very high ground as there isn't any and there are no bridges either so I took my shot looking down a lane with Neil at the bottom.  Best I could come up with.  Thanks to RockArea for hosting.  I have added an Extra collage showing some crops and a view through the woods.

When I got home I was worn out.  I sat on the sofa to watch TV but fell asleep.  When I woke up it was time to cook my tea.  Then the Iceland delivery arrived.....no cat food, no apples and no ham.  They sent pease pudding and no ham!.  Well you need ham to go with your pease pudding so that means ham is back on the shopping list.  And some of the items I got had very short dates....eg  a bag of salad is out of date tomorrow. And I got grapes which I have eaten but a lot of them were too soft and mushy and had to be thrown out. I really prefer shopping in person as online is far from perfect
