The Lozarithm Lens

Woody Wednesday (Wednesday 27th May 2020)

On the previous Woody Wednesday Refna had cut back the seed pods on the irises that surround my small pond, and that seems to have given permission for the plants to start flowering. On this morning some 19 flowers had bloomed overnight and there were a further half-dozen on other clumps elsewhere in the Woodland Garden.
This blip is very similar to one I took a year and a day ago but I couldn't resist. Those colours are so sumptuous.
During the morning we were visited by a peacock butterfly, a banded demoiselle at the pond (a garden first, but it flew off as I raised my camera) and a wren. One does visit the garden occasionally, I'm pleased to say.
I also could not resist again capturing the flowering cotinus. Also in the garden we found the first grapes forming on my young vine, and I remembered to record the fruit on the magnolia.

So much better resolution in Large (Gallery) view
