Sundew plant

I was out early this morning as I was meeting at a social distance a friend for a photographic exploration of the boggy areas of Woodbury Common.  It was a sunny day but fairly windy as we settled in to take photos of the Heath Spotted Orchid.  Two other photographers were around but they were after adders and birds, we didn't see any adders though.  We headed down into the boggy areas trying our hands at photographing cotton grass and more orchids, no dragonflies were around today though.  Deciding to see if we could find a route across the area we ventured further in and ended up jumping from tussock to tussock in a failed attempt not to get our feet wet.  We spotted these delightful sundew (Drosera) plants as well as some different orchids which maybe Marsh Orchids I haven't yet had time to look closely.  Retracing some of our steps we eventually managed to find a way up onto a path and headed back to Woodbury Castle in a circular route.  It was a lovely morning out with perfect walking weather.

Not much was done in the afternoon other than amending a click and collect order for collection in a few days time.  Watering the allotment will be the next task.
