Ghost Flowers

We have a few stands of columbine (Aquilegia) growing in our yard, and I love their shapes. This is a very pale variety. The flowers themselves are nearly white, with pale hints of lavender at the edges. They got wet in the overnight rain, which rendered the petals nearly translucent. They looked like ghosts in the morning mist.

A song for ghost flowers: Stevie Nicks, with Ghosts.
