Looking Through

Continuing to search for situations where I can play light against dark, I came across a group of trees with sufficient spacing to show off the sun soaked grass beyond. The grass was backlit and translucent .

I left the upper left of the image bright to show the source of light, where I might normally have darkened it to focus attention on the centre.

I placed my focus point on the grass and let the foreground vegetation and trees be soft, leading the eye towards the sunshine.

On the way back a pair of American Robins let me get close enough for a decent image. They scuttled across the ground pausing frequently and posing for me. (See extra).
