Brotherly Love

I seem to be developing the rather pleasant habit of sitting outside under the veranda entertaining visitors on an afternoon.
Lots of people wanting to visit me at the moment now that restrictions are slightly better and people can meet up outside.
Have started baking scones ( National Trust recipe) then freezing them in batches of four. Just bring them out on a morning and then pop them in the oven for five minutes to warm.
Have got some little dishes in which l put individual portions of butter and jam.
Then have the cushions out on the rattan furniture and for the past two days have also brought out rugs because it’s blooming cold!
Guests can get into my garden without coming into the house and my downstairs loo is easily accessible from the back door.
The loo now has thick kitchen roll, antibacterial wipes, antibacterial hand wash and an all in one disinfectant spray.
So l think we are abiding by all the rules.
It’s interesting what some people bring with them from their own towels, hand gel or mugs.
Can you remember when you just called round to see someone and have a quick cuppa!

Today my brother and sister in law drove over from Boroughbridge, first time my brother has driven any distance for over three months. I’ve not seen them since the funeral and so it was lovely to see them.
They saw the video l have been given of when the cortège left our village and well over a hundred friends of Mr P lined the Main Street and applauded him as he made his final journey, l don’t suppose this would have happened under normal circumstances but it was very touching.
See that the Tiny Tuesday challenge is for a flower.
I’m not a great rose grower but l’m quite pleased with this one taken in the fading light. Quite apt really because my brother bought me this one for my birthday two years ago.

Thank you for all the comments, stars and hearts x
