A family history blip...

... seemed in order today. Seventy five years ago, on June 13 1945, my parents were married - and I think they would be pleased to have their day commemorated in this way.

I dug out this rather small photo from their collection of albums and other memorabilia. When I removed the photo from the album to copy it, a wedding report from their local paper dropped out from behind the photo. I have included that as my first extra along with the wider wedding group photo (second extra).

I remember them telling me that they didn't have long to organise their big day, after my father was informed he was about to be posted overseas by the RAF. He  left for Perth, Australia about a month later. He loved his time there but mother resisted all suggestions of emigrating.
