Stonechat

This is the first year that I have seen a Stonechat here and sightings are almost a daily occurrence.  I don't think they could have been here before because according to Birdwatchireland.ie the Stonechat 'frequently sits on exposed perches and so not difficult to observe'.  This enabled the photograph. Birdwatch also state that they are scarce in the midlands of Ireland, where we live. I hope to get some closer photos of it before the summer is over.
