Going going gone

I’ve not been sleeping well.  As usual I awoke early to check the parent blackbirds were busy and all seemed a bit quiet.  I could only see one beak above the nest rim too.

I lasted until about 11.30am until I moved the leaves to look, and found there was only one baby in the nest.

There were definitely 5 yesterday but bursting out of the nest so we were expecting this.  See extra.

Here is the last baby bird sitting on the vine.  I hope by now his parents have found him and encouraged him out.  Am fervently hoping for no cat related disasters tomorrow.
