Empty Nest

I am in Las Vegas to help my sister celebrate her birthday. This is a hummingbird nest outside her bedroom window. She got to watch it being built, mom sitting on the nest, babies being fed but missed them fledging.

The diameter of the nest is no more than three inches. I am amazed with how small this is and grateful to actually see one.
