Coal Bank Pass Summit

It was too windy and mostly cloudy today, so we chose not to raft the river.  Instead, we drove north to Purgatory, the ski resort, to ride the summer luges down the mountain. Fun!, for me at least. On Glen's  side of the run, on his descent he came around a blind corner to find a sled stopped dead on the run in front of him.  He slammed on the breaks, avoided catastrophe, but not without injury.  Brush burns on the left side of his body from head to toe. After a messy clean-up, we left the resort and continued north to the pass where we hope to hike tomorrow.

Extra: A straight-away on the run; photo taken from the chair lift.
