Staverton Weir

Another funny day. After a rainy morning I went of to Staverton. Normally if I go there it's for the preserved railway station and I parked there today.

There's a fine old bridge over the river Dart there but I couldn't find a way to get down to the bank for a photo. I followed the footpath beside the river but it starts off a bit away from the bank. The sun came out and it was lovely as it came through the leaf canopy onto the river. There's a wild swimming spot along there and a crowd of youngsters were enjoying themselves noisily. It was much quieter a little bit further up by the sluice gate and I liked the view here.
