Last...

... night’s heavy thunderstorms brought down a huge branch from dad’s old cherry tree which he had planted with a cherry stone when he was 5 ...  ‘as old and broken as me’ he had said when he saw the damage this morning :(.   ... but for little Nora, who came to visit today,  it was sooo easy to pick the cherries that it made dad smile again :)
