Latest album purchase arrived yesterday and our very friendly postman chuckled and commented ..

" Norman Records - Love that. I'll use it as the title or character of my novel when I write it, or perhaps use that as my pen name". Didn't realize he was as batty as me.

Love the tangible, ritual, as well as acoustic (with rare exception) properties of vinyl. Am also the marketing man's dream with my unhealthy (perhaps) attachment to branding and graphics.

Sometimes the brilliance of an artist or album is not apparent immediately, or for years. Took a few months for the latest release from Parquet Courts - Wide Awaaaaake!

Also currently spinning the inaugural album from Drab City - Good Songs For Bad People, which is a completely different style. An original sound and one to look out for...
