Magic Sprinkles

I'm afraid I fell for an M&S recipe book the other week, just as if we haven't enough recipe books and not enough space to keep them, nor time to use them. But I was tempted and bought it. I had not realised, although I should have guessed, that for each recipe one is supposed to use some magic M&S ingredient. It's not a problem as there are some nice recipes and one can easily adapt them to use without the named ingredient.

However, we have found a gem of a recipe that uses M&S 'Magic Sprinkle' which seem to be a mixture of herbs and spices and nothing 'unnatural'. We have now made it twice and really enjoyed it. And it is so easy to make. We use our local butcher's sausages, which they make themselves, and then it is the addition of red onion, cherry tomatoes, butter beans, thyme . . . and of course the 'Magic Sprinkle'. Stir and cook for 40 minutes. The result is a very tasty dish. And very little washing up.

Sometimes the purchase of a recipe book is worth it for one recipe that you love. Mind you there are other uses for 'Magic Sprinkle' in the book.
