Brutal barley

Jess and I walked at the edge of a barley field today and I found loads of the sticky seed heads in my socks and in her paws.  We've had a lot of trouble with them over the years getting stuck in between toes and in ears.

I had a long conversation with Dad last weekend about the pros and cons of getting a new phone/upgrading as he struggles with his current 4 year old hand-me-down one. The conversation prompted me to practice what I preach and so I bought myself a new one, in lieu of a holiday this year, which arrived today.
